EH Cameron was a popular and long-serving politician for the electorate of Evelyn in the Victorian Legislative Assembly. His biography is included in the Australian Dictionary of Biography: http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/cameron-ewen-hugh-3149/.

In 1867 he married Agnes (1844-1924), eldest daughter of John Bell, an early pioneer at Kangaroo Ground. They had eight sons and three daughters. Some of their children contributed squares:

• Evelyn Cameron (b. 1877) is at [F16] and perhaps also at [J10]. Alternatively, [J10] ‘Evelyn’ may represent her father’s electorate.
