Summary

This square is likely to represent Agnes (nee Sharp, c.1843-1915), the wife of George Robertson, a farmer living on Lower Plenty Road and a Councillor for the Shire of Eltham.

Further information

The Scots Church archives show that a Mrs Robertson paid fees for one seat in the church in 1894-95 while her husband paid in several other years. George Robertson contributed the square at [N5].

Their son Henry may have contributed the ‘Mr Robertson’ square at [M16]. From Henry’s death record (BDMV 12887/1939) we learn that his mother’s maiden name was Agnes Sharp.
