What happened at our last meeting in December 2022
Posted on Sunday, 29th January 2023 by Janine Rizzetti
Heidelberg Historical Society held its final meeting for 2022 on Tuesday 13 December at Ivanhoe Uniting Church Community Centre. HHS member Graham Thorley gave a presentation on the history of the Banyule area, drawing together images of the Heidelberg and Ivanhoe area alongside significant events and statistical information about the area over time. This was followed by a viewing of the 16 minute compilation of home movies set in Heidelberg and Ivanhoe, taken by Burgundy Street chemist Bernard Jacobson between the late 1930s and early 1950s. If you are a member, you can view the movie online. To become a member, click on ‘Join Now’ at the top of the page.
HHS meetings are open to the public. They are held on the second Tuesday of every second month: February, April, June, August, October and December.
