Wet day timetable
Posted on Tuesday, 18th March 2025 by Janine Rizzetti
Wet day timetable!! The state government might have built the school, but it was up to parents’ clubs to raise the money for things like shelter sheds and asphalting. It was common for there to be a gap of twelve months between the first students and the official opening of a school, and often that was because school yards were wet, muddy places with no shelter from the sun or the rain.
This shelter shed is at Heidelberg Primary School (although not in its original position), and many of us would have memories of playing games in the shelter shed during wet lunchtimes.
