Open House Melbourne - we're involved!

Posted on Monday, 22nd July 2019 by Janine Rizzetti

Heidelberg Historical Society will again be involved in Melbourne’s Open House program this coming Sunday 28 July, opening between 11.00 and 4.00 p.m. Why not make a day of it? The Ivalda Masonic Centre at 40 Salisbury Ave Ivanhoe is open between 10.00 - 4.00, and St George’s Anglican Church will open between 12.00 and 4.00 p.m. There will be free entry to all three venues.

Ivalda will conduct guided tours departing every 20 minutes, running 15 minutes in groups of six. St Georges will run tours from 12 p.m. every 60 minutes, running 30 minutes in groups of 12. The Courthouse tour is largely self-guided using the detailed explanatory information throughout the building and there will be friendly Society members as guides to explain our lovely building to visitors. Visitors can see our Busy Bee Quilt exhibition while they are here.

Open House Melbourne runs over both the Saturday and Sunday. The Heidelberg Town Hall is open on Saturday between 10.00 and 4.00 p.m as well, but not on the Sunday. Tickets to Napier Wallace House have all sold out.
