Summary

The person represented is (Mary) Emma Goold, wife of Sgt John Burton who was stationed at the Heidelberg Police Station, 1887-1900.

Further information

While stationed at Heidelberg, John, Emma and their six children lived in the police residence at 7 Jika Street, opposite the Presbyterian Church. Mrs Burton contributed two squares to the quilt. The other is [L2]. Her husband is represented by [M14].
